Panama Canal Railway

We also took a train to Colon (the Caribbean side of Panama). The train leaves at 7am from Clayton. It took us about 1 hour from Panama City to Colon.

The rail way actually has longer history than the canal. Now, it's a commuter train that takes only one round trip a day to Colon.

$22 tickets (one way) include coffee and muffin. It is quite expensive, isn't it? But, guess this is the only railway that connects Pacific and Atrantic Ocean.

You must get a seat by the window to enjoy the view of the canal and jungle. You may do this by your self without an agent, but you need somebody to pick you up in Colon. The returning train doesn't come until 5pm!
